Systems
Fire protection systems we install and maintain
Four system groups, one contractor. Each is specified from the building rather than picked from a catalogue, and each can be maintained by the same team that installed it.

01
Fire alarm systems
Detection, alarm and the control equipment that links them. The arrangement is worked out from the category of protection the building needs and the way people move through it.
- Detection circuits and manual call points
- Alarm devices and control panel
- Cause and effect as specified
Basis: the BS 5839 series, and the project specification

02
Sprinkler systems
Wet, dry and pre-action installations for the hazard the building contains. Heads, pipework, valves and water supply are treated as one system rather than a list of separate items.
- Domestic and residential sprinkler systems
- Commercial and industrial coverage
- Valve sets, pumps and tanks
Basis: BS EN 12845, BS 9251 and BS 8489 as applicable

03
Fire protection pipework
The pipework that carries water to the point of use — above ground and underground, in the material and jointing method the specification calls for.
- Above-ground and underground mains
- Grooved and threaded jointing
- Support, protection and pressure testing
Basis: BS 9990 and the project specification

04
Smoke detection equipment
Detection chosen for what the space actually does — optical, heat, aspirating or beam — positioned so it responds to the risk rather than to the ceiling layout.
- Point and aspirating detection
- Interface with alarm and building systems
- Commissioning and verification
Basis: the BS 5839 series and the project specification
Next step
Tell us which of these the building needs — or let us work it out
- If you know the scopeSend the system, the building type and the equipment list and we will price from that.
- If you are not sureSend the building type and what it is used for, and we will set out what applies before any price is given.
Maintenance on an existing system sits under maintenance & upgrades.
